Walker Park, Newcastle

Carved graffiti – collaboration with local YMCA and a graffiti artist. Youth group helped to carve a 7 tonne Doddington sandstone boulder. The lettering "To write your name is to say I exist" is on top of the boulder. Participants were encouraged to design their initials on the stone beneath. There was unexpected enthusiasm for this project which made an entrance marker for Walker Park.
