Amazon

Earthwork, Dumfries, 2016.

A community lead project in Summerhill Dumfries. To make a piece of land art which celebrated the Amazon. There was a long process of developing designs with all ages. A contractor then did the earth modelling and the majority of the turfing and planting and sowing was done by community volunteers. Since first established the site has been well looked after and further developed by the Summerhill community. Funded by DGHP and the Hollywood Trust.
